Hello and welcome to Sabdreasworld!

Our family consists of 5 + 2 individuals. Andreas 38, Sabina 37, Johannes 15, Penny 13 and Loke 11 as well as our two cats BOB and Mrs Norris.

We live in a small village in the northern part of Sweden but originally we come from a community located in the southern part. So we have made a move of about 1500 kilometers!

We who will administer the blog are Andreas & Sabina, although the children and cats will be seen from time to time.

Andreas: I work as a Laboratory assistant 50% and Firefighter 50%. The work takes up a lot of time but when there are free moments I like the outdoors, which is the biggest reason why we settled where we have. There is also some work on the house and a bit too much computer games if you ask the wife😅.

My idea with this blog is to show how we think about the life choices that we as a family make. Something we are often faced with is the choice of whether to consume things or experiences, often the latter wins but it is not always obvious. Another part is how we think and act to maneuver the sprawling organism that a family of five, including teenage children, constitutes. It is not always easy to keep everyone happy and sometimes maybe not everyone needs to be?

Sabina: I work full-time as a Store manager. I love my job but it takes a lot of time and energy. That is why I think it is important to make the most of my free time. Just like Andreas, I enjoy the outdoors and the nature around us. At the same time, I think an evening of board games with the family can be wonderful!

My idea with the blog is to show that you don’t always have to do ”like everyone else” and that it is possible to find things to make everyday life more fun, both big and small. Maybe we can inspire others with all our crazy ideas?!
